What network speed do I need?
For X1 (1080p), a standard 1Gbps switch is sufficient. For X2/X4 (4K), a 1Gbps switch with IGMP snooping and over 9000 Jumbo Frames is recommended.
Can I mix X1, X2, and X4 on the same network?
Yes, they can exist on the same network within their own separate VLANs. However, signals cannot be routed from an X1 Encoder to a X2/X4 Decoder and vice versa.
How does ToVi compare to Crestron NVX or AMX N-Series?
ToVi delivers comparable performance at 60–80% lower cost per endpoint, no licensing fees, no lock-in, 5-year warranty, and free lifetime support.
Do I need to replace my existing cabling?
No. ToVi runs on CAT5e, CAT6, or CAT6A up to 100m per run. Your existing structured cabling is all you need. (CAT 6 round and shielded is recommended)
